Clear terms for a private teaching product.
Effective 10 September 2026. These terms govern use of Pitch & Progress, operated by Pitch & Progress. Contact support@pitchandprogress.com with service questions.
1. The service
Pitch & Progress helps music teachers carry lesson instructions into home practice and prepare for the next lesson. Features include private Studios, homework, practice records, teacher resources, optional media and Lesson Ready context. It is a teaching-support product and does not replace a teacher's professional judgement, safeguarding duties or live lesson platform.
2. Accounts and pupil access
Adult account holders must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. Teachers may create private pupil Studios and enable controlled pupil access. Teachers, schools and guardians are responsible for deciding whether a pupil may use the service and for complying with safeguarding and consent requirements that apply to their teaching relationship.
3. Trials and subscriptions
Teacher accounts begin with the trial described on the pricing page. Paid Teacher and Teacher Plus plans renew monthly until cancelled. The applicable price and included pupil/storage limits are shown before checkout. Subscription management, invoices, payment methods, downgrade and cancellation are available through the secure billing portal.
4. Cancellation and plan changes
When a monthly subscription is cancelled through the billing portal, paid access normally continues until the end of the current paid billing period unless Stripe shows a different effective date. If a plan ends, read/export access may remain while paid write capabilities and capacity limits can be restricted. Users should export or download anything they need before deleting an account.
5. Uploaded content
Users retain responsibility for content they upload or enter. Do not upload material you are not entitled to use. Teachers may reference a book, piece, publisher, ISBN, page or bar range as factual metadata, but should not upload or redistribute copyrighted score pages unless they have permission. Teacher-created resources should be original, licensed or otherwise lawful to share.
6. Video
Pupil clips are intended as optional private practice evidence, not a public media feed, and are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Teacher reusable videos follow the storage and rolling-retention limits shown for the relevant plan. Upload limits are enforced for reliability and cost control.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Pitch & Progress to harass, exploit or endanger another person; attempt unauthorised access; distribute malware; circumvent storage, pupil or billing limits; scrape private content; or use the service in a way that infringes another person's rights.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to operate a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may make changes needed for security, legal compliance, performance or product improvement. Material changes that significantly affect paid use should be communicated appropriately.
9. Data and privacy
Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Notice. Account holders can access export and deletion controls from Account & Privacy.
10. Support and complaints
Support is available at support@pitchandprogress.com. Privacy questions should be sent to privacy@pitchandprogress.com.
11. Legal review
These product terms are structured so the application can operate consistently with the stated subscription, privacy and retention flows. The operator should obtain jurisdiction-specific legal review before relying on them as its final commercial contract, particularly for schools, safeguarding, consumer cancellation rights and liability wording.
